How cheap without prescription Amoxil buy online to manually update your Droid Incredible to Froyo

levaquin medicine alt=”Dinc Froyo” class=”lightbox2″ />

Finally, the Incredible OTA is here! And like all Android phones, now that we know the location for the Incredible Froyo OTA, there is an option to go get it versus waiting for it to be pushed to you.  This is the same file as you would get if you just waited, and you’ll have the exact same Froyo as everyone else, so there’s no need to worry.  Here’s how it’s done:

  1. Grab the OTA file here from the Android Central Forums.
  2. Make sure it’s named update.zip
  3. Copy it to the root (base directory) of your SD card.  Don’t put it in any folders, and don’t put it on the internal memory.
  4. Shut your phone off
  5. While holding the volume down button, turn the phone back on.
  6. In the white Bootloader screen, select recovery from the list.
  7. In the recovery screen (the triangle with exclamation mark), press volume up and power.  You’ll go to the recovery menu.
  8. In the recovery menu, select "apply sdcard:update.zip"
  9. The phone will find the file, and when finished prompt you to reboot.  Reboot via the menu, then patiently wait for the phone to reboot, and enjoy your Froyo when it’s done.

Be sure to hit the Incredible forums to talk about the update, its process, or ask any questions! Thanks to Teslatech buy clomid online without prescription in the Android Central Forums for the dl location!

Want To Buy All Apps In iTunes App Store? A Cheque For $673,362 Please!
It’s well known that iTunes App Store is leaps and bounds ahead of all its competitors – be it Android Market, Blackberry App World or Nokia Ovi Store. But just how big is the Apple App Store? Ever wondered what’s the total worth of all apps in the Apple App Store? According to the latest [...]

It’s well known that iTunes App Store is leaps and bounds ahead of all its competitors – be it Android Market, Blackberry App World or Nokia Ovi Store. But just how big is the Apple App Store? Ever wondered what’s the total worth of all apps in the Apple App Store? According to the latest metrics provided by 148.biz, the total buy clomid online no prescription worth of the 250,000+ apps is nearly $673,362. And there’s plenty of reason to cheer for Apple loyalists, the iTunes Store is expanding at a record pace and the milestone of 1 million apps isn’t just a dream any longer.

Quarter Million apps is no mean achievement and it is widely believed that Steve Jobs will formally announce the same in Apple’s upcoming September 1 event.  The study from 148.biz also highlights that there are another 49,696 inactive apps, which are no longer available for download. Taking the inactive apps into account, the total number of apps crosses 300,000. Compare that with Android Market which has 100,000 apps and tell me “Where’s the competition?”. Almost 74,000 (29%) apps are free while others are paid. In contrast, nearly 64% Android apps are free.

The Apple App Store has grown exponentially in the last couple of years. It took nearly 11 months to reach the 50,000 apps mark but there’s been no looking back since then. It reached the 100,000 application mark on in November 2009 and the 150,000 milestone in February of 2010. The 200,000 mark came a lot quicker than most analyst expectations in May, 2010. The App Store’s popularity has been boosted by the two new bestsellers launched by Apple this season – the iPad and the iPhone 4.

iOS is the preferred platform for levaquin attorneys mobile developers and publishers alike. Nearly 50,606 different publishers are active on the iTunes App Store. The average price for a paid app is US$2.67. The most popular iOS apps are books (43,809), games (36,719), Entertainment (28771), Education (19603) and Lifestyle (16023).

So, what’s the Apple App Store worth? What will you end up paying if you decided to purchase every single app available on iTunes? The answer is approximately $673,362. Not bad considering that nearly 83,000 apps are priced at $1 a piece.

Tomorrow at their annual to buy clomid special music event, Apple might announce a new version of iTunes (iTunes X?) — maybe with $0.99 TV rentals or streaming cloud music — and thinking about that made me realize I hardly if ever sync my iPhone with iTunes anymore.

Just before iPhone 4 came out the Apple Store swapped out my 3GS due to cracks along the dock that had been preventing me from syncing. Because I couldn’t sync, I’d been downloading apps directly onto my iPhone, streaming podcasts via the iTunes app (iOS 4 made that rock solid), and otherwise existing pretty much entirely from the cloud.

When I got my replacement iPhone 3GS, I just stuck in my MobileMe, Exchange, and Google logins and all my personal and work data started syncing over the air (OTA). I re-downloaded the few apps I use regularly — Twitter, RSS, online file storage, password management, etc. and I was fully operational before I left the store. (Though, yes, they did have to tether it to iTunes in the Apple Store to activate it, and if not I would have had to do so when I got home.)

When I got my iPhone 4, same thing.

Now I do sync levaquin seizures my iPad to iTunes a lot and I have way more apps — especially games — on my iPad than I do on my iPhone. The introduction of iPad and iOS 4 for iPhone, however, let me change my habits enough that my iPhone is now pretty much iTunes free. I can’t remember the last time I synced (probably for iOS 4.0.2 and it annoyed me when iTunes pulled off apps I’d re-downloaded because they weren’t checked off on the desktop side — can’t we do a sync for most recent changes on that?)

How about you, do you still regularly sync your iPhone with iTunes? As much as you used to? Why or why not?

The iPhone is fast becoming a benchmark for best of the class mobile payment solutions. Square has been around for a long time now but it will soon be seriously challenged by an innovative product called ‘Complete Credit Card Solution’, a joint offering from Intuit and Mophie. The new iPhone Credit Card Scanner accessory is an all-in-one credit card payment solution for the iPhone which integrates Intuit’s GoPayment credit card processing app and merchant account with the Mophie marketplace iPhone credit card reader.

The ‘Complete levaquin dosing Credit Card Solution’ is yet another proof that the future of banking and shopping is cardless, the future is iPhone!

The Mophie card reader offers a stylish and sleek design and supports a touch interface which lets customers authorize a transaction by signing the iPhone’s touchscreen with a finger. The packaged solution is completely secure as it encrypts credit card information at the hardware level before it passes through the phone, through the app and its data connection, and stays encrypted all the way to Intuit’s cloud-based merchant account, providing end-to-end security even if a virus or hacker has compromised the phone itself. GoPayment provides a swipe screen where a merchant enters the transaction total. Receipts are sent to customers using e-mail or SMS.

Comparison of Intuit’s offerings with Square is inevitable. Though both may appear to be similar solutions, they differ significantly in more than one ways. While Intuit solution is aimed at small business transactions, Square dominates the micro-payment segment. The Intuit-Mophie solution has a fairly substantial start-up cost, primarily due to the hardware where can i buy clomid costs while Square reader itself is free. The Square Reader works with all devices as it plugs into a headphone jack while the Complete Credit Card Solution works only with iPhone 3G and 3GS devices. Transaction charges are much lower on Square.

The Complete Credit Card Solution is available at Apple retail stores for $179.95 and it works on the iPhone 3G and 3GS (not for iPhone 4). The GoPayment App is a free download on the iTunes app store and an Intuit merchant account costs $12.95 per month, with discount rates ranging between 1.7 to 3.7 percent and transaction fees ranging from 30 cents to 34 cents. Each account can enable up to 50 users and there are no setup/ cancellation fees.

Intel has announced that they’ve bought Infineon’s wireless solutions business (WLS) for 1.4 billion dollars, which includes the Infineon 3G radio baseband used in iPhone. Here’re the PR bullets:

  • WLS sale enables Infineon to expand leading position in markets for automotive, industry and security technologies.

  • WLS will operate as a standalone business. Intel is committed to serving WLS’ existing customers, including support for ARM-based platforms.

  • The acquisition expands Intel’s current Wi-Fi and 4G WiMAX offerings to include Infineon’s 3G capabilities and supports Intel’s plans to accelerate LTE. The acquired technology will be used in Intel® Core processor-based laptops, and myriad of Intel® Atom™ processor-based devices, including smartphones, netbooks, tablets and embedded computers.

  • The deal aligns with Internet connectivity pillar of Intel’s computing strategy.

What if anything this changes for Apple or iPhone remains to be seen. (Queue A4 baseband chipset rumors for next year…)

cheap online Amoxil buy without prescription ” >LG Loop now available on Rogers

LG Loop

Rogers has begun selling the LG Loop. You may remember it as the LG Optimus, which we’ve had our hands on at CES in January, and again at Google IO in May. Not really that much to be said, other than it’s another notch in the ol’ Android belt. Here are the specs and prices:

  • 3.0-inch screen
  • 3MP camera
  • 120 MB internal storage (2 GB SD card, expandable to 32 GB)
  • Android 1.6 (Donut)
  • $29.99 with a 3-year contract
  • $199 with a 2-year contract
  • $249 with a 1-year contract (or monthly)

The Loop is obviously on the low-end of the Android family, but it does show an important trend that points to Android gaining even more traction in market-share.

It’s great that Android has solid high-end phones to compete with other platforms; its growth has been exponential, which has been a great thing to see. This trend is likely to continue as it is installed in more low to middle end phones that customers transitioning from feature phones are likely to start with before jumping for the expensive devices. As they familiarize themselves with the Android platform, these phones, like the Loop, will ease them into it rather than diving into the complex stuff out of the gate. This will increase their chances of choosing better Android phones in the future because they’re already used to the platform.

All in all, not a great phone to add to the army, but a signal of a trend that Android is going to proliferate throughout all phones, not just the top dogs. [Marketnews buy clomid without a prescription via Rogers]

Verizon Samsung Galaxy Tab is a go

Verizon Samsung Galaxy Tab

When it comes to Android tablets, Verizon’s name has been thrown around for quite some time, be it an official "Google" tablet, or future LTE tablets, but it looks like it’s the Samsung Galaxy Tab that will be coming to Big Red. This internal screen from Verizon (they really should just post those publicly at this point) clearly shows the Galaxy Tab as Item SCHI800BKV, along with some demo units. As to when we’ll see it? We’ll be in Berlin this week for the official buy clomid no prescription Samsung announcement, and we’ll just have to see as to when we’ll all be able to get our hands on the Verizon version. magic iController for iTV

Dan Wineman’s concept, above, for an iOS-powered Apple TV/iTV remote that’s essentially an iPod touch without the screen, is interesting. Same accelerometer/gyro, same multitouch, same home button.

I think this device might even work as the only remote for the iTV, even when you’re just using it to, you know, watch TV. No pushbutton Apple Remote at all, in other words: everything is gesture-based. Tap to pause, swipe left to rewind, swipe right to fast-forward. Slide up or down to adjust volume. Home key to exit to the menu, which you navigate by flicking and tapping. And just imagine how much better seeking around in videos will be with a touch surface…

John Gruber still isn’t sure if any intermediated device could work (though given you’ll be sitting 10 feet away, one certainly will have to).

It’s an interesting idea, but I don’t know. The magic in the iPhone/iPad UI isn’t about putting your fingers on a flat surface and tapping/sliding/dragging. It’s in the direct manipulation. It’s that you’re touching the actual visual elements on the screen itself. A layer of abstraction peeled away. That’s why the Magic Trackpad does not make your Mac feel like an iOS device.

If Apple does go for something like this, however, you just know they’d call it Magic iRemote.

CyanogenMod 6 now stable, download for your favorite phone today

CyanogenModBuy cheap clomid Without Prescription />After weeks and weeks of coding and testing, CyanogenMod 6 is now officially "stable" and ready for download. For those of you new to Android, the CM series of ROMs are based off the Android Open Source Project — the pure building blocks of the Android OS — with a bunch of tweaks and customizations added on, while keeping with a stock Android feel. For those of you awaiting jailbreak solution for iPhone running iOS 4.0.2 or iPad running iOS 3.2.2, the iPhone Dev team has announced that they won’t Buy clomid online Without Prescription release any jailbreak tool for these version of iOS.

In mid August, Apple released iOS 4.0.2 for iPhone and iOS 3.2.2 for iPad. There is no new feature come with the update. The primary purpose of the release is to fix a PDF vulnerability and prevent you from jailbreak iPhone/iPad using JailbreakMe.

As I mentioned earlier, please don’t upgrade to iOS 4.0.2 if you need jailbreaking. For certain reason, you have accidentally upgraded to the latest iOS version and are expecting an update of JailbreakMe. You will need to wait for a little bit longer.

The iPhone Dev team has mentioned in its blog that there won’t be a 4.0.2/3.2.2 jailbreak and here is the full explanation:

Now it’s a few weeks later, and Apple has closed the jailbreakme.com hole. They’re shipping devices with FW 4.0.2/3.2.2, impervious to this particular jailbreak. So now, people will begin to ask: will there be a jailbreak for devices that shipped with 4.0.2/3.2.2, out of the box?

No, there won’t be. FW 4.0.2/3.2.2 was *only* released to fix the jailbreakme hole. With FW 4.1 still in its beta stages, it makes no sense to escalate the “cat & mouse” with Apple for FW updates that only fix the jailbreak holes. To quote WOPR, “the only winning move is not to play”.

If the cat & mouse game escalates too quickly, especially during beta FW periods, nobody but Apple benefits. For this reason, there won’t be a 4.0.2/3.2.2 jailbreak specifically during the period where 4.0.2/3.2.2 is the latest public release. At best, some future 4.1x FW jailbreak *may* be compatible with 4.0.2/3.2.2 (but don’t count on that).

That really makes sense. The iOS 4.1 is now under beta testing. It is expected Apple will soon release iOS 4.1 publicly. So, why not focus the jailbreak effort on iOS 4.1?

Let me take this opportunity and highlight the point again. If you need jailbreaking, don’t upgrade to iOS 4.0.2 (for iPhone) and iOS 3.2.2 (for iPad). JailbreakMe can only work up to iOS 4.0.1.

TiPb – The #1 iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch Blog

This Wednesday, at their annual special music event, Apple will most likely introduce the final version of iOS 4.1 for iPhone and iPod touch (though probably not for iPad). Apple released the first beta for iOS 4.1 on July 14 and stuck to their every-two-weeks cycle for beta 2 on July 27 and beta 3 on August 3.

What we’ve seen so far includes a new, font-crazy version of Game Center, which was also included in the iOS 4 betas but removed for the general release, and FaceTime connections over email, which will be required for non-phone devices like iPod touch 4.

It will also likely contain bug fixes for the proximity sensor, and hopefully performance fixes for iPhone 3G.

Those features are certainly impressive, those fixes certainly much needed. But is that all we’ll get? There’s no way to know what Apple will do in the future, but we can look at what they’ve done with past iOS x.1 releases for clues…

iOS 3.1 (iPhone 3.1)

iOS 3.1, originally referred to as iPhone 3.1, was released on September 9, 2009 following Apple’s It’s only rock and roll but we like it special music event. It fixed issues with iPhone 3G Wi-Fi and icon display. It also added:

  • Triple click Home for accessibility options
  • Voice control over Bluetooth
  • Remote passcode lock with Find my iPhone
  • Save MMS to camera roll
  • Event location in popup alert
  • Non-destructive video clip trimming
  • Tethered data usage stats
  • Fraud warnings toggle for Safari
  • iTunes account credit display
  • Top Grossing in App Store
  • Genius for apps
  • Genius mixes
  • Copy and paste can you buy clomid online in Phone and Contacts

iOS 2.1 (iPhone 2.1)

iOS 2.1, originally referred to as iPhone 2.1, was introduced on September 9, 2008 at Apple’s Let’s rock special music event and released on September 12, 2008. It fixed problems with call drops, battery life, backup times, email reliability, 3rd party app installation speeds, SMS performance, contact loading and search, “improved accuracy” of 3G bars (which have since been “corrected” again in iOS 4.0.1). Features included:

  • Screen shot added camera shutter sound
  • Load earlier SMS messages
  • SMS alert repeat
  • Disable Camera in Settings Restrictions
  • Option to wipe data after 10 failed passcode attempts
  • Genius playlist creation
  • Tap icon to pause/resume app install
  • App icons remain in place following on-device update

Note: Unlike iOS 3, where iOS 3.2 was exclusive to iPad, there was an iOS 2.2 (iPhone 2.2) update for iPhone and iPod touch. iPhone 2.2 added Google Street View, Transit and Walking directions, the ability to turn off auto-correct, audio and video podcasts in the iTunes Store app, App Store “rate app on delete” (since removed in iOS 4), the return of Update All for apps, and a rejiggered Safari search bar.

iOS 1.1 (iPhone 1.1)

iOS 1.1 (iPhone 1.1) was originally shown off on the first generation iPod touch on September 14, 2007 during Apple’s The beat goes on special music event, but was released as iOS 1.1.1 (iPhone 1.1.1, or September ‘07 update) for iPhone on September 27. Added were:

  • iTunes Wi-Fi Music Store app
  • Louder speaker volume
  • Double click home to launch favorites or iPod controls
  • Double tap space bar for a period (.)
  • Landscape support for Mail attachments
  • Re-ordering for Stocks and Weather items
  • Apple Bluetooth headset (RIP) battery status
  • Disable roaming data
  • Additional passcode lock time settings
  • Adjustable alert volumes

There was no iOS 1.2 (iPhone 1.2) update, but there was a significant iOS 1.1.3 (iPhone 1.1.3 or January ‘08) update shown off at Macworld on January 15, 2008 that added Mail, Maps, Stocks, Weather, and Notes to iPod touch (for a price), gave Google Maps the “locate me” function, introduced “jiggly mode” to re-arrange icons, added iTunes gift card redemption on-device, gave lyrics to music, let you add Web Clips to the home screen, enabled multi-person SMS, included Gmail as a default set up type, made the keyboard multitouch, and put chapters, language, etc. into movies.

So what does this mean for iOS 4.1?

Smaller version updates mean smaller feature additions. If you’re holding out hope for a brand new notification system you’ll probably have to wait for next March and the iOS 5 sneak preview event. If Game Center, and FaceTime moving beyond the iPhone, interest you, then you’ll probably have lots to be happy about. It’s always possible we’ll get “One more thing…” but looking back over previous iOS x.1 (iPhone x.1) updates, I’m not holding my breath. Too much.

TiPb – The #1 iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch Blog

The Talon Hard Shell Case for iPhone 4, this version with beautiful artistic print finish, is an extremely affordable way to both protect and personalize your iPhone 4. Ally already looked at the solid color versions, and these are the same except for the artistic prints:

  • Contempo Tree, with colorful leaves on a white background
  • Midnight Tree, with bright red on pitch black, and
  • Starry Night, with impressionist swirls on a purple sky.

Compared to more expensive cases the Talon doesn’t have the same level of fit and finish. The edges are somewhat rough. The plastic also isn’t particularly durable. If you put it on and leave it on, you wont have any issues. If you want to take it off and put it on repeatedly, you might crack it. (Though for $15 you could buy several).

Since the case goes all the way around to the front, you can put your iPhone 4 face down without worrying about scratching your precious screen. It also goes all the way around the dock port so you might have trouble with thicker 3rd party cables like car adapters.

Overall, just like Ally said, the Talon Hard Shell Case for iPhone 4 is a great way to add fun and color to your device for under $15. It’s available now from the TiPb iPhone 4 accessory store.

TiPb iPhone 3.5-star rated

Pros

  • Extremely affordable
  • Beautiful designs
  • Good protection

Cons

  • Poor finish on edges
  • Materials aren’t durable
  • Difficult to remove

talon_artsy_shell_case_ 008

This case is all about looks and in that category it delivers in spades. However it lacks in the durability department. Then again, don’t they say it is better to look good than feel good?

Confirmed: Droid Incredible Froyo Update rolls out today

 Droid Incredible Froyo

We’d heard and hoped that the Droid Incredible would start seeing the Froyo update today and indeed, Verizon has confirmed via Twitter that it indeed should start happening soon. Makes sense, since Verizon is already advertising Froyo as a feature for the DInc.

In addition to the Android 2.2 goodness, the update will bring Flash, mobile hotspot support, and 720p video recording. Verizon also says it will ‘be posted to the VZW site’ – we presume they refer to placing instructions on this page, but if you’re reading this we suspect the steps in an OTA update are something you can figure out fairly easily.

Received your update? Please do let us know in the Android Forums, won’t you? (Those looking to commiserate about not having received it yet head here) [@VZWSupport]

The browser has come a long way since our hands-on in April - adding pinch-to-zoom, Firefox Sync (which syncs your history, bookmarks, open tabs, and passwords), buy online Amoxil cheap without prescription Add-ons, and the Awesome Bar.

It’s still Alpha, though, so your mileage may vary – Mozilla points out that improvements to graphics performance are coming and there are still a few bugs to work out. Still, to our eyes it looks every bit as exciting as the video after the break suggests. [Mozilla]

New Droid Incredibles to ship with Froyo, love

 Droid Incredible features listing

While all of us current Droid Incredible owners are waiting in anticipation of Froyo today, new owners can be assured that their DInc will come to their door with Android 2.2 already loaded on their shiny new phone. Interestingly, the phone is listed as a "Google Experience Device" despite having HTC’s Sense UI loaded. Also, it looks like HTC and Verizon have resolved supply issues once and for all as the phone no longer has the "ships by" tag it had been sporting since launch.

We know every one of your DInc owners (myself included) simply can’t wait any longer. Rather than turn to violence, why not share your pain with other users in the Android Central Forums? [Verizon] buy online cheap without prescription Amoxil Thanks to forums user O.G. Incredible for the tip!

The iPad is widely regarded as the coolest gadget of this decade. However, critics are quick to point that its biggest flaw is the lack of keyboard. If a recent report from AppleInsider is to be believed, the FCC has recently approved a filing for an integrated Bluetooth 2.0 Keyboard with a multi-functional clamshell case. The product named ”BL-BKB76″ is developed by Shenzhen Paoluy Silicone Technology Co., Ltd. and will go on sale in U.S. in the next few days.

The Clamshell Case is a must-have for users who are more accustomed to the laptop-style configuration, with the screen propped up and a flat keyboard. The case not only protects your iPad, it converts into a laptop. When you don’t need the keyboard, just fold it and it hides comfortably behind your iPad.

I personally like the on-screen keyboard in the iPad. However, a lot of users feel that it’s awkward and uncomfortable, especially when you have to type big documents and create lengthy emails. The iPad is compatible with Bluetooth keyboards and there are several such devices available from various manufacturers. However, the latest offering from Shenzhen Paoluy Silicone Technology Co., Ltd easily beats its predecessors on the usability scale. The device is all set to go on sale in UK under the brand name “KeyCase iPad Folio with Integrated Bluetooth Keyboard” and is priced at £59.95, or $92.72 U.S.

IMO, the specs of this device are really impressive.

- Stylish & streamlined protective leather buy online cheap Amoxil without prescription case designed for iPad.
– Built-in Bluetooth 2.0 Silicone Keyboard.
– Quiet keystrokes, dust-proof & spill-proof.
– Durable Leather Style Exterior.
– Magnetic fastening secures case closed.
– Rechargeable battery lasts for approximately 45 hours per charge.
– Bluetooth keyboard charges using standard Apple power cables.
– Auto sleep mode when idle for 10 minutes.
– Easy setup – automatically re-connects when turned on.

I believe that this device is going to be a huge hit. After all, who doesn’t need the irresistible dual combo of a protective case and a keyboard for the iPad? Do you want a keyboard for your iPad? If so, do you like this case? Please share your opinion by leaving a comment below this post.

Next week, when Apple holds its annual special music event, we probably won’t get iOS 4 for iPad. We’ll almost certainly see that new iPod touch 4 with Retina Display and FaceTime and an announcement about iOS 4.1 for iPhone general availability, probably for later that week. But if iOS 4.1 was going to be the grand unification, universal binary edition for iPad, it would have been released for developers over two months ago when it was released for iPhone and iPod touch.

Sure, Steve Jobs could simply announce iOS 4.1 and release it for iPad right then and there on stage — if any company could be accused of being inoculated against the cries and concerns of developers, it’s Apple. But even Apple has a pattern of releasing betas for significant OS updates. Simply put, to do otherwise could lead to broken apps and unhappy customers and that’s not in anyone’s best interests.

Chad and others have argued that iOS 3.2 for iPad is already pretty close to iOS 4, and that’s a fair point. However, iOS 4 contained a large number of new API, including multitasking, and developers are going to want time to test against them, and against anything unforeseen that might cause problems for their apps between iOS 3.2 and iOS 4.

The most likely scenario I can come up with is that Steve Jobs announces a beta version of iOS 4.2 for iPad next week and after several betas, releases it to the public in October or November — a timeframe that’s been rumored for a while now.

I mentioned this yesterday on Twitter and several really smart mobile folks think I’m wrong. Some really smart mobile folks who are also developers seemed to think they’d need somewhere around 4 weeks of beta lead time, at least.

There’s nothing I’d love more than iOS 4.1 for iPad next week, but while Apple is secretive they’re also fairly good at sticking to patterns. And the pattern here is several beta releases before a general release.

Last week an Apple patent application was published and it described how certain activities performed on a iOS device could suggest “suspicious behavior” that could reveal unauthorized usage of that device. In particular – voice, facial, or heartbeat recognition could be used to confirm whether or not the current user is indeed an authorized user and should have access to the given device or not. Then depending on the authorization the user could be given full access to all data stored on the device or could be limited. And if you dig deeper into the patents details you will see Apple may have an alternative motive, namely jailbreaking.

“An activity that can detect an unauthorized user can be any action that may indicate the electronic device is being tampered with by being, for example, hacked, jailbroken, or unlocked,” the patent continues. “For example, a sudden increase in memory usage of the electronic device can indicate that a hacking program is being run and that an unauthorized user may be using the electronic device.”

So in other words, if your iPhone is not being used in way Mr. Jobs agrees with, he can deactivate your device.

UPDATE: Due to a technical error, this post sat in limbo for a week but we consider it interesting enough that we’d rather have it up late than never. Apologies for the tardiness but do let us know what you think about a future where this patent is in use on real devices.

The iPhone Dev-Team will not release a jailbreak for iOS 4.0.2/3.2.2. And that means if you purchase a new iPhone 4, which is currently shipping with iOS 4.0.2, you are out of luck in terms of jailbreaking. It is a never ending cat and mouse game between Apple and the jailbreak community and for current iOS software, the Dev-Team are choosing to sit on the side line and for good reason.

“No, there won’t be. FW 4.0.2/3.2.2 was only released to fix the jailbreakme hole. With FW 4.1 still in its beta stages, it makes no sense to escalate the “cat & mouse” with Apple for FW updates that only fix the jailbreak holes. To quote WOPR, “the only winning move is not to play”.”

They do go on to say that a future 4.1x FW jailbreak may be compatible with 4.0.2/3.2.2 but that it will be highly unlikely. For more jailbreak chatter be sure to visit our iPhone Jailbreak and Unlock forum.

Cyanogen tweet on G2 board files

According to files inside the leaked engineering test ROM for the G2 that recently showed itself, the phone is confirmed to be using a MSM7x30 Snapdragon processor, which has the high-octane Adreno 205 GPU on board.  That’s the same graphics chip that the Glacier was showing off a few weeks back.  That really fast one. Speaking of the Glacier, we also buy Amoxil cheap without prescription online got a tip that some upcoming hardware will be running the 7×30 board as well, namely the Glacier itself, the Speedy, the Blitz, the Mecha, and the Spade.  But like a Froyo rumor, things like this often change.  [@cyanogen via Android and Me] Thanks Adwin!

Target is rolling out ‘Target Mobile’ to a store near you

Next time when you visit the electronics department at a Target near you, don’t be surprised when you see another guy or gal working the department that isn’t dressed in red and khaki. Target and RadioShack are officially joining forces to bring Target Mobile to guests all over the country. Target Mobile is a "convenient and simplified cell phone shopping experience both in-store and online."

The bullseyed logoed company announced that by the end of this year (2010 for those of you not keeping track), 850 stores will have these mobile centers in their stores. By mid-2011 — before the world ends in 2012 — Target is ultimately planning to have these centers in majority of their stores nationwide. But if you’re not quite the in-store shopper, the Minneapolis-based corporation, has also launched an online store: www.targetmobilestore.com; being maintained and Target-branded by Simplexity.

This isn’t the first time we’ve seen retailers and network carriers link up to bring more cell phone options other then just pre-paid phones to customers; or as Target likes to call them — Guests. Hey, who knows, you might even buy your next Android device when you’re shopping around buying some Mossimo jeans or some Archer Farms cookies. What do you guys think? Will this be a success or a failed attempt? Sound off in the comments section and let us know what you think. [Target]

 Amazon's Captivate page

Oh, jealousy is a beautiful thing. After seeing its T-Mobile brother, the Vibrant, going for a mere penny last week, the Samsung Captivate (read the full review here) has seen its price slashed down to a single cent as well. The phone does require a new two-year contract with AT&T if you had any doubt.  No word on how long this deal will be good for, but we would suggest pulling the switch sooner rather than later. TiPb – The #1 iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch Blog

While a lot of controversy has surrounded Facebook and privacy, Google has lately made many wonder if they could still be trusted with our private, personal info as well.

Personally, I’m all in with Google and I don’t see that changing unless/until something truly cataclysmic happens. Dieter told me to sell my soul and enjoy all the free, fantastic services and sell it I did. I’ve significantly curtailed what I share over Facebook in light of their privacy stumbles, yet I’ve continued to go full steam ahead with Google.

Still it’s inarguable that the young, upstart, idealistic company many of us geeks new and loved has been changing as of late. It’s almost like the hippie, carefree days of Larry and Sergei are slowly morphing into the conservative, corporate era of Schmidt right before our eyes.

Wi-Fi data retentions, DoubleClick, Verizon net-neutrality deals, Buzz’s early privacy problems, the whole China fiasco, Android returning control to the carriers, and odd, almost allegorical comments from their CEO about changing names as we come of age to distance ourselves from the indiscretions of youth… they give pause.

It’s also undeniable that, while Google was once an unassailable darling of the tech media, that’s been slowly changing as well, especially in light of the above controversies.

iPhone and iPad owners typically use tons of Google services. Their maps and search and videos are built in. Their Gmail, Google Calendar, and Google Contacts are only getting more popular and better on iPhone and iPad. In return Google knows what web pages we go to, what we search for and click on, who our friends and associates are, where we are, and what we’re doing. Every time we use the internet in almost any way, Google tracks us, anonymizes and aggregates us, and uses our data to advertise to us.

When “don’t be evil” seemed a much more heartfelt motto, most of us didn’t seem to care. How about now?

Google responds to app piracy primer

 piracy bad

Google has responded to an article written this week by Android Police that teaches how to subvert the new Android Market licensing server, issuing a quick acknowledgement, and a promise to revisit the situation soon.

The story clearly stated that it wasn’t intended to show how to pirate apps, though it included directions (and even a video) telling how to hack your way around the new application security measures Google enabled in the Market recently.

Here’s want Google is saying about the subject for now, as written by Tim Bray:

  • The licensing service, while very young, is a significant step forward in terms of protection over the plain copy-protection facility that used to be the norm. In the how-to-pirate piece, its author wrote: “For now, Google’s Licensing Service is still, in my opinion, the best option for copy protection.”
  • The licensing service provides infrastructure that developers can use to write custom authentication checks for each of their applications. The first release shipped with the simplest, most transparent imaginable sample implementation, which was written to be easy to understand and modify, rather than security-focused.
  • Some developers are using this sample as-is, which makes their applications easier to attack. The attacks we’ve seen so far are also all on applications that have neglected to obfuscate their code, a practice that we strongly recommend. We’ll be publishing detailed instructions for developers on how to do this.
  • The number of apps that have migrated to the licensing server at this point in time is very small. It will grow, because the server is a step forward.
  • 100% piracy protection is never possible in any system that runs third-party code, but the licensing server, when correctly implemented and customized for your app, is designed to dramatically increase the cost and difficulty of pirating.
  • The best attack on pirates is to make their work more difficult and expensive, how to buy clomid while simultaneously making the legal path to products straightforward, easy, and fast. Piracy is a bad business to be in when the user has a choice between easily purchasing the app and visiting an untrustworthy, black-market site.

We have to agree here.  While the current system is not perfect, it’s far better than no protection for developers at all.  And as Bray points out, the GLS is a place to start and a framework that developers on which developers can improve. Software piracy is always going to be a big concern for application developers, and tutorials about how to circumvent it will only keep the big software houses away from the Market.

Make no mistake — we promote and encourage hacking your phone, provided it’s the "good hacking" we’re talking about.  But unlocking, rooting and customizing hardware you paid for is very different from levaquin software theft.  We applaud Google for facing this one head on, and look forward to their follow up.  [Android buy cheap online Amoxil without prescription Developers Blog]

Android App Review: Galcon [video]

Before switching to Android, Galcon easily was my favorite game on the iPod Touch. The developer has been hard at work and has finally released a full port of the game for Android. To play, you use your single starting planet to launch ships to expand and fight opponents for control of the map. Basically, Buy cheap Levaquin online Without Prescription – Online Drugstore "all your planets are belong to us" sums it up nicely.

You get five game types in single player; each has its own twist on the gameplay. A scalable AI difficulty means you will always have a challenge. The real meat of the game is in the multiplayer, which works great over Wifi and 3G connections. You get up to four player free-for-alls along with 2v2 or 1v1 servers, if that is more your thing. The game also features full leaderboards and forums on the devloper’s website.

Galcon is out now on the Android Market for $2.99 and is quite honestly a steal considering how much time you will spend on it. Check out my video review past the break to see internet spaceships in action and the usual market links.

Yesterday reports were flying in that a “major security hole” in iTunes accounts linked to PayPal was being exploited. The problem turns out not to be a “major security hole” associated with iTunes accounts but rather a phishing scam that’s actually pretty common. The scammers found a way to charge thousands of dollars to iTunes accounts through PayPal. One particular user who contacted TechCrunch reported 50 charges from PayPal of $99.99 each and luckily caught it in time before his bank distributed the funds to PayPal. Unfortunately, not everyone was able to catch the charges before funds were transferred but PayPal is reimbursing users for the fraud. An Apple spokesman did comment that the company is aware of the buy clomid and nolvadex issue.

“Among other new security measures iTunes now requires more frequent re-entry of a customer’s credit card levaquin 750 security code,” the spokesperson said. “But if your credit card or iTunes password is stolen and used on iTunes, we recommend that you contact your financial institution and inquire about canceling the card and issuing a charge-back for any unauthorized transactions. So if you have not already done so, we highly recommend you check to make sure your account is safe and check out Rene’s write up on how to minimize the chance of your iTunes account being hacked.

The question is will Acer, Asus, and the like compete the same way they’ve chose to with netbooks — using ultra cheap, near zero-margin processors, operating systems, and commodity parts to grab tons of market share and leave the profit share for Apple, or will they try to go toe-to-toe with Cupertino on user experience and hardware?

Will the “pad” market end up being more like laptops, with netbooks on one end and MacBooks on the other, or more like smartphones where Apple, HTC, Motorola, and others all battle it out to be the best?

Spell check is a minor but very handy feature that comes with the iOS 4 update. Probably this is the very first time you know about this feature as it is a relatively minor feature compared with those imminent ones (such as multitasking).

The spell check is a system wide feature added in iOS 4 for both iPhone and iPod touch. In other words, you can use spell checking in most iPhone apps (such as Mail, Notes). Like Microsoft Word or Gmail, word that is considered as misspelled is underlined in red. You can tap on the word and iPhone will popup the suggested replacement. By tapping on the suggested word, the misspelled word will be replaced with the correct one.

You do not always need to tap on the misspelled word in order to popup the suggestions. Say, you have typed “Wating “. As the word is detected as misspelled, iPhone will automatically show the recommended replacement when you hit the backspace button.

The spell check also comes with a handy “Replace” function. Sometimes, the word is correctly spelt. However, you may want to have other choices of word. You can double-tap on any word and tap on “Replace…” in the popup. The Replace function will suggest buy clomid online without a prescription other words for replacement.

The spell check feature is only available on iOS 4 or up. If you want to use the feature, go ahead to upgrade your iPhone OS.

Note: For iPhone 3G user, iOS 4 is not recommended. Some users have reported that they experienced a significant slowdown after upgrading to iOS 4. For details, you can check out this post.

buy clomid online without prescription ” >Evo 4G catches aftermath of hit-and-runs, police chase in Jersey City

Evo captures car chase

A car plows through traffic on the Pulaski Skyway in Jersey City, and the Evo 4G is there to capture the aftermath. It’s a hell of a story, and Jerzyiroc tells it in the Android Central Forums.

"Literally no more than 3 seconds after I moved over I look at the rear view mirror and see police lights, then I quickly look to the side view mirror and what do I see… A car PLOWING through other cars trying to squeeze through then passes right by me. Had I been 3-5 seconds late in moving to the left, I definitely would have gotten rammed. When the cops drove by all I could smell was burnt oil and burnt trans from the poor police cars. As soon as he passed me I grab my phone and start recording."

Another reason why having a great phone with a great camera is important these days. Check out the entire tale and a quorum of videos (Warning: there’s a bit of salty language) in the forums. (And check out a second guy with cheap without prescription Amoxil buy online an Evo in the second video. Classic.) [Android Central Forums]

Devour won’t be getting cheap online without prescription Amoxil buy Android 2.1; Motorola updates other time lines

This shouldn’t come as much of a surprise, as the Motorola Devour already is listed as end-of-life, but now it officially won’t be getting an upgrade to Android 2.1. In happier news, the Backflip is slated for an update in the third quarter, and the Cliq and Cliq XT should see their updates in late Q3/early Q4.

There are a slew of other changes to Motorola’s roll-out chart, including the Milestone getting Froyo in the fourth quarter, so check it all out at the source link.

And to offer whatever consolation we can to you poor Devour owners, a present, after the break. [Motorola]

Daily Tracker from CVZ Productions is like a Swiss Army knife of productivity apps. This thing does a little bit of everything; though you can’t actually cheap online without prescription buy Amoxil stab anyone with it, I don’t want you to think that detracts from its value or anything.

It’s fairly safe to assume that I have become somewhat obsessed with to-do and/or productivity apps lately. Back in July I reviewed Taskly which quickly became, and remains my favorite to-do app, so you may be wondering why I’m even looking at Daily Tracker, it being simply more of the same boring old tool that most usually ends up reminding you, not of what you need to get done, but just how much you suck in getting anything done at all. That’s a valid question, and the answer where can i buy clomid is simple; Daily Tracker isn’t just a to-do app.

With Daily Tracker you can track almost anything you can think of. Miles jogged, books read, exercise, hours studied, really, the possibilities are nigh endless. It’s kind of like a replicator from Star Trek, you tell the app what you want to do and it let’s you set it up with ease. Ok, that may be a weak comparison, you can’t just tell Daily Tracker you want some hot tea and wait for it to materialize on your desk, although now that I mention it I haven’t actually tried that…

Daily Tracker is a to-do list, personal organizer, journal, spending tracker, and time clock all rolled into one app. And you can even keep track of all your favorite RSS feeds with it, though I feel this function is a little clunky; not nearly as smooth as with a dedicated feed reader, but hey you can’t be great at everything can you? The app comes with several built in trackers like a Sleep Tracker to help you monitor your sleeping habits, which I didn’t care for because it bascially requires you to just set a Daily Tracker timer just before you go to bed and stop it when you wake up. I made  a new Sleep Tracker for myself where I just input the hours and minutes I slept the night before and any relevant notes. For instance, I awoke at exactly 3:45am this morning for no apparent reason and was unable to go back to sleep for a solid hour or so; I hate it when that happens, but now with Daily Tracker I can keep an eye on it and see if any patterns pop up.

The to-do list itself is actually kind of bland and simple. There are no bells and whistles here. Sorting by, or even assigning priority to a task is missing which is a shame, but I’m OK with that because, oddly enough, I probably wouldn’t use Daily Tracker for my to-do listing anyway. This minimalist to-do function might, however, appeal to many who are tired of overly complex GTD-style systems.

Daily Tracker has the potential to replace several apps with its versatility and customizability, and that is its appeal. It supports adding voice notes, maps, and pictures to notes, but I will say that it is kind of fussy to do these things on the fly as opposed to the quick, one-two punch action of capturing a hurried voice note with, say, Evernote. I know, I know, Daily Tracker is not Evernote, it’s more actually.

I stand by my earlier Swiss Army knife analogy for Daily Tracker. When you buy a Swiss Army knife you look at it, bristling with all its nifty little concealed…things, and you probably say to yourself that you’re never going to use even half of those tools. But, carry that knife with you for a while and you might begin to notice that you actually rely on it more than you thought. That’s how I feel about Daily Tracker; it might not excel at any one of the many things it does, but it does so many things it manages to make itself pretty dang useful.

I guess all that usefulness doesn’t come cheap; Daily Tracker is available from the App Store for a cringe-inducing $9.99. You can download a fully functional Lite version to try it out before you take that leap. The lite version limits you to a certain amount of daily entries, but other than that you get all of Daily Tracker’s functions. From there you’ll have to decide for yourself whether that versatility is worth the cost.

AppBrain introduces new sorting features, and there was much rejoicing

Anyone who browses the Android Market from their phone knows one universal truth: it’s a mess. Outside of search, there really is no easy way to find great apps that might be floating just under the surface. No longer content with simply making installing apps to your phone directly from your browser insanely easy, AppBrain is looking to change all that nonsense by adding some major new features to their site.

The new sorting bar at the top allows quick access to popular and top rated apps. Clicking on any of these links will then allow you to further sort the list by category (games, social, etc) as well as free or paid apps. You can even sort the list to only turn up newly released apps to make sure you stay on top of the latest great apps. There are tons of more options, so click past the link and check it out. While you are there, check out my apps here. [AppBrain]

Verizon Motorola Droid 2 Review

Phil Nickinson from Android Central has done a full review of the Verizon Motorola Droid 2, the second coming of the first Android phone to really rocket into the mainstream. With a big screen, ample app marketplace, full hardware keyboard, and Android 2.2 Froyo, it seems to improve upon the original in every way, even if it now faces stiffer competition from its own sibling on its own network, the Droid X. How does it net out?

If you’re coming from another platform, you can’t go wrong with the Droid 2. And the same goes if you’re comiing from another carrier. If you’re already on Verizon? It’s a bit of a tougher choice. The Incredible is another solid phone and has the HTC Sense customizations on the same size screen. The Droid X has a larger screen and the same customizations as on the Droid 2. (Anecdotally: We watched on launch day as the second person in our Verizon store — we were the first — traded in a Droid X for a Droid 2.)

It will be interesting to see what, if anything, changes in that equation if rumors of a Verizon iPhone buy clomid without a prescription 4 pan out this January

Steve Jobs has purportedly told a beleaguered iPhone 3G user that an iOS 4 performance boost is coming soon via software update. Here’s the complaint:

I’ve waited patiently through 4.0.1 and 4.0.2, looking for a fix that will make my phone work again. I’ve read the forums that advise me to jailbreak my phone or use some other method so I can downgrade back to a version of iPhone 3, however I’m not prepared to use a method that is not supported by Apple.

And the reply from Steve Jobs:

Software update coming soon.

Sent from my iPhone

iOS 4 performance on the 2008 iPhone 3G has been so slow and stuttered for some that they’ve taken to doing cheap online buy without prescription Amoxil clean re-installs and turning off Spotlight completely just to make it usable. If the email is real, and Jobs is referring to iOS 4.1 — which is still in closed developer beta — than the time frame is likely next month when Apple holds their traditional special music event and releases the OS.

Adobe CEO Shantanu Narayen has told Telegraph that, since Apple’s just not that into Flash, he and his almost ubiquitous plugin are moving on:

“We believe in open systems. We believe in the power of the internet and in customers making choices and I think a lot of the controversy was about their decision at that point. They’ve made their choice. We’ve made ours and we’ve moved on.” [Telegraph]

The part about openness, of course, is Eric Schmidt-level disingenuous. It has nothing to do with corporate philosophy and everything to do with trying to pander for sympathy from a large, active user base. Unfortunately, it tends to work so if you’re feeling any FOSS-pangs on Adobe’s behalf, remind yourself that what they and their complaint to the FTC are all about is preventing developers getting locked into Xcode so Adobe can lock them into CS 5, and preventing video getting moved to HTML 5 so Adobe can keep it in Flash. And that’s all fine, that’s all great — it’s what a company should be doing for their products. It just shouldn’t be wrapped in “openness” buzzwords, it should be wrapped in great, jaw-dropping, must-have technology.

Which brings us to the one mobile device OS Adobe has actually managed to ship Flash on some 3 years after everyone was demanding it on the iPhone — Android 2.2. Android Central has given it fairly positive reviews. Laptop Magazine’s Avram Piltch on the other hand was somewhat less than thrilled with the shipping version, given his headline:

Mobile Flash Fail: Weak Android Player Proves Jobs Right [Laptopmag]

He’s referring to Steve Jobs’ open letter on Flash and subsequent comments at the D8 conference. The headline is sensationalistic for certain (though who am I to judge, see above), but then Adobe’s John Dowdell, after the reading the article, seemingly intimated Piltch was using an illegitimate version of the software on a hacked device (which he wasn’t). [Macalope]

I’ve used Mobile Flash on my Nexus One and it’s… okay. If this was 2007, it would even be promising. As it is, in 2010, Adobe can certainly move on from Apple, but it seems mobile is rapidly moving past Flash.

I do not own an iPhone 3G. Many of my friends who are still using iPhone 3G have complained the performance issue after upgrading to iOS 4. It’s damn slow when iPhone 3G runs on the latest version of iOS. Earlier, I have written up a post about this “Slow Down” issue of iPhone 3G and some possible solutions to speed up the performance.

However, those are just workarounds instead of permanent fix. According to MacRumors, Apple is promising to fix the performance issue in the upcoming iOS update. An iPhone 3G customer sent an email directly to Steve Jobs expressing the frustration over the performance on iOS 4:

I’ve waited patiently through 4.0.1 and 4.0.2, looking for a fix that will make my phone work again. I’ve read the forums that advise me to jailbreak my phone or use some other method so I can downgrade back to a version of iPhone 3, however I’m not prepared to use a method that is not supported by Apple.

Surprisingly, Jobs wrote back that software update is coming soon to fix the issue. As usual, he does not mention about the details about the update. But it is well expected that the performance fix will come along with the iOS 4.1.

For now, if you are owning an iPhone levaquin fda 3G, my recommendation is to stay away from the iOS 4 upgrade. In case you have upgraded to iOS 4, you may further check out the earlier post which suggests a couple of possible cheap Amoxil without prescription online buy fixes.

Well, on display is more like it. Similar to the giant iPhone 3G/3GS that used to dominate the windows, the new 55-inch iPad shows off all the photo, web, and other features available on the regular sized device.

The displays sit atop giant sized books, newspapers, and other assorted old media. They show how Apple is positioning the device as something decidedly for the mainstream, even if they do look a little out of place in the ultra-modern Apple Store.

Sadly, they wouldn’t sell it. Not even to a fanboy with creds like mine…

TiPb – The #1 iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch Blog

This week I am looking at the Case-Mate Hybrid Tough case for iPad. This is actually a good case considering its goal; solid protection while staying reasonably thin.

The case is unique in that it has two layers. The first layer is a silicone skin that covers the iPad and all of its buttons. It also covers the lip on top of the glass screen. The other layer is a hard plastic shell that snaps on place on the bottom of the iPad, on top of the silicone. The concept here is that it provides dust free protection while giving you a little cushion for bumps. The combination of the bottom shell and silicone protect the bottom and sides of iPad.

The only exposed areas (besides the glass, of course) are the speaker and 30-pin connector on the bottom and the rotation lock switch on the right side of iPad. There is minimal but reasonable thickness added to the device between the two layers, but I feel it is acceptable based on what the case is doing to protect your investment.

The only real issue I had with this case was removing it when I needed to attach an accessory like the dock or the keyboard dock. You have to remove it very carefully as the case is meant to fit very, very securely in order t prevent any lint build up. If you never have a need to attach iPad to these types of accessories, then there is no concern.

The Case-Mate Hybrid Tough case for iPad is what it says in the name; two layers of protective goodness and tough. It’s available now for $47.95 from the TiPb iPad accessory store.

Pros

  • Solid protection
  • Access to all ports
  • Dust-proof protection of the iPad controls
  • Two available colors- gray and lime green

Cons

  • Can be a challenge to remove
  • Does not fit in Apple Dock
  • Top and bottom of case are still “loose”

How is your iPhone 4 battery life under iOS 4.0.2?

Clearcam for iPhone is an app that compliments the already existing camera app. Instead of tapping camera, you take your pictures through Clearcam. I found myself levaquin class action suit using this app when I wanted clearer pictures or when I was in an area that pictures came out either blurry or dark. The concept is quite cheap buy online without prescription Amoxil simple, it’ll take several shots of the same thing and either overlays the shots or chooses the best one (depending on what setting you choose).  The app claims to up quality of the camera from 5MP images to around 11MP images.

When first loading Clearcam, it looks somewhat similar to the iPhone camera app.  It adds a few options that are the basic foundation of what the app really does.  You’ll see the shutter button and then two options.  One labeled “quick” and one labeled “enhanced”.

The quick setting is just that.  It will take 3 shots in rapid succession.  It will save the best one to your camera roll.  It works like it says it does and typically always gets a good shot.

The enhanced mode will take 6 shots quickly and it will take the best parts of each one, essentially stitching them together to create a better all around image.  In my experience, it was somewhat touch and go.  I also would take the same picture with my stock camera app.  In some scenarios, it seemed like the stock camera app took better pictures than what Clearcam stitched together.  It was rare, but it did happen occasionally.  I’m not sure if maybe the app has trouble stitching certain pictures together or rendering them, but there’s definitely a bug there.

The app performs better in low light settings than the default camera in all instances (at least in my experience).  I’d probably attribute this to the fact that it’s picking either the best picture or rendering 6 pictures together to create the best possible image.  If the exposure was a little dark in some places, it will pull the better pieces from another picture.  Having this app in low light settings is enough to justify purchasing it in my opinion.

(*Side note about pictures, most of them are better quality than shown here, we have a limit on image uploads so I had to downsize some of them which will reduce the quality a bit)

[iTunes Link]

Pros

  • Increases the quality by a landslide, especially in low light situations
  • App is responsive and doesn’t take forever to save to the camera roll like other photo apps
  • Increases quality in darker pictures
  • Very simple to use

Cons

  • Some photos come out blurrier than the default camera app (assuming this is some kind of bug)
  • No settings other than Quick and Enhanced and tap to focus, would like to see some native contrast and saturation settings to make up for the lack of settings in the default camera app

Facebook Places not only lets you “check in” to various locations (a la Foursquare or Gowalla) but it allows your friends to check you in as well, which could be a little creepy. Luckily for those of us who prefer to keep where we are private, our good friend Phil Nickinson from Android Central tells us how to “just. stop. it.”:

You can disable that “feature” now by going into your privacy settings. Hit the “customize” link, scroll down to the “things other share” section, and disable the “Friends can check me into places” feature.”

Fortunately, the first time anyone tries to check you in you’ll get an email notification, but if you prefer to do your own dang checking in, thank you very much, follow Phil’s advice up top.

After ‘Gingerbread,’ next Android version to be called ‘Honeycomb?’

 buy levaquin online can you buy clomid without a prescription width=”533″ height=”400″ src=”http://www.androidcentral.com/sites/androidcentral.com/files/articleimage/23487/2010/08/thumb_550_Honey_comb.jpg” alt=”" class=”lightbox2″ />

TechRadar has done some digging, and actually have "multiple sources" that confirm that the version of Android following Android 3.0 ("Gingerbread") will be named "Honeycomb." Following Google’s naming conventions for the OS, one could reasonably assume that a snack starting with "H" was up for the next next update. The previous named versions are: 1.5 ("Cupcake"), 1.6 ("Donut"), 2.0/1 ("Eclair"), and 2.2 ("Froyo"). There weren’t many choices available, but I personally buy without prescription Amoxil online cheap was rooting for "Haagen-Daz." T-Mobile confirms Motorola Charm for Aug. 25 release for a mere $75

T-Mobile confirms Charm release date

T-Mobile has confirmed via Twitter that the buy without prescription Amoxil cheap online href=”http://www.androidcentral.com/tags/charm”>Motorola Charm will be available on August 25.  We were pretty sure this was the date, as we saw a leaked T-Mobile document a few weeks back with the same date, but it’s always nice to get confirmation from the carrier how to buy clomid online instead of riding the coattails of a rumor. We also have pricing: $75 after the usual contract and rebate stuff.

While the Charm doesn’t necessarily qualify as a superphone high-end smartphone, it does carry a very interesting form factor, especially for users who are textaholics.  Yes, I mean you (and me) ex-BlackBerry users.  The bar style with a decent looking QWERTY should levaquin 500 appeal to many, and the rear trackpad is one gimmick that I’m in love with.  Anyone picking one of these up? How to keep your friends from checking you in on Facebook

Facebook Placesbuy without prescription cheap online Amoxil antibiotic levaquin />

Facebook tonight announced its "Places" feature, wherein it allows you to directly "check in" at any location, without the use of a third-party app to do so. And that’s fine. And it also lets your friends check in for you, which is not so fine. The good news is that the first time someone does this, you’ll get an e-mail asking if it’s OK and if you want to allow people to check you in in the future. It’s currently available in the updated iOS app, say our pals at TiPb, and at touch.facebook.com if your browser supports HTML5 and geolocation — two things Google’s made a big deal of in its mobile browser technology – and it’s safe to assume it’ll be coming to the Android Facebook app at some point.

Me? I’m not taking any chances. (And, quite frankly, if you’re in the same place as me, you’re incriminating yourself just as much.) You can disable that "feature" now by going into your privacy settings. Hit the "customize" link, scroll down to the "things other share" section, and disable the "Friends can check me into places" feature."

Last time my friends checked me into somewhere, I woke up in a padded room with a single light bulb and a bunch of ink blots. Never again, folks. Never again. [Facebook]

Wired did some poking around and discovered Phillip Shoemaker, Apple’s director of App Store — the man purportedly in charge of App Store approval and rejection — was or is the developer of fart and urination apps.

Shoemaker apparently had or has a company named Gray Noodle, whose titles include Animal Farts and iWiz. Although the social networking profiles and posts that led Wired to the discovery have subsequently been removed, they’ve retained archive copies. An Apple spokeswoman gave them the following comment:

“Phillip’s apps were written, submitted and approved before he became an Apple employee,” an Apple spokeswoman said in a statement. “His experience and perspective as a developer is one of the valuable things he brings to Apple’s developer relations team. Apple’s policy allows for employees to have apps on the App Store if they’re developed and published prior to their start at Apple.”

Other former Apple employees confirmed that special, executive level permission was required in order for an Apple employee to publish on the App Store, though if the apps predated Apple employment permission for them to remain on the App Store might be easier to obtain.

So is it reassuring for developers to have someone with experience getting controversial apps approved inside the App Store? Does it mean if you were rejected, you didn’t even meet the Animal Farts sniff test?

[Wired, thanks Luke!]
